Hiji Falls

This morning we hiked up to Hiji Falls, it's just minutes from where we were staying in Okuma. It's so green and humid, this is as close to tropical rain forest that I've gotten. The beginning of our hike. It was about a mile to the falls.I have never seen so many butterflies. They were huge and colorful.

The water here was clean and clear, too.The worst part of the hike was that as soon as we got up these stairs, we went back down. Up and down, up and down...my workout for the whole time I'm here!

Cool, suspension bridge we walked across...it was a little bouncy.
View from the bridge...pretty high!

Hiji Falls.

Japanese lizard!

The falls are gorgeous! I love being surrounded by "green", so it would have been a great place for me :D
