This is for you Lynn!

I have been waiting to post anything until I got my computer back (it is lost in Dell-land), but I'm on my Christmas break and have some extra time. This year has been a whirlwind for me. I graduated with my Master's in May in Music Ed/Suzuki Pedagogy from SIUE, took a month-long trip to England, Ireland, and Scotland, and then moved to Houston, Texas for my dream job. About a week after I got home from my trip, I saw an ad for the job on the internet, called about it, had an interview a week later, and was offered the job the next day. I'm currently teaching Suzuki violin lessons and group classes at Parker Elementary, a music magnet school. I was so lucky to have found this position! I love being at one school, having my own classroom, and working with great students and teachers every day. Living in a big city has been a transition for me, but there is so much to do in Houston and my social life has greatly improved!

Right now, I am spending Christmas break with my family in St. Louis. It is Christmas Eve and most of us are sitting in the family room, snuggled under the covers, eating homemade chocolate chip cookies, and watching the 2nd season of The Office. Tonight we are going to Uncle Jack's and Aunt Bonnie's for our family Christmas Dinner. I just love Christmas time!

Merry Christmas to all my friends!
